PhotoMix is a very user-friendly scrapbooking software with step-by-step tutorials, over 700 free templates and other free graphics as well. There are dozens of what are called “compositions” utilizing specific numbers of photos so that you can choose what configuration you would like for your photos and just drop them in the chosen composition. That is how you prepare a collage. There are borders consisting of actual frames that go with the many choices of holiday or theme. There are also borders that are sort of “fades” or grungy edges. In addition, there is clipart to correspond to the various theme choices. As a project is prepared there is also a layers tab that enables you to see the various layers.

The templates are very similar to quick pages. A template can be chosen, pictures placed in the appropriate place or places and text added within moments. It would be possible to use these templates to complete an entire scrapbook in less than an hour. It is also possible to prepare beautiful cards within minutes.

The add-ins (some of which are free) are very much like mini-kits. They contain several backgrounds, borders and clipart, sometimes an alphabet and allow for variety in the final product.

Projects can, of course, be saved as digital images. They can also be printed while in the PhotoMix program or can be emailed without having to change sizes in order to accomplish this.

PhotoMix is the perfect solution for those who love digital scrapbooking but are short on time. PhotoMix allows you to produce beautiful albums and gorgeous cards without the extensive time required to do so from scratch. The initial designing work has already been done and you are ready to create and display.
